The 2026 Xero Plans (and the 50% Promo)
Xero Malaysia is running a 50% discount for 36 months on all plans purchased before 31 December 2026. That changes the effective monthly cost dramatically:
- Lite: US$3.50/month for 36 months (then US$7) — micro businesses, quotes and 5 invoices
- Starter: US$14.50/month (then US$29) — sole traders and new businesses
- Standard: US$25/month (then US$50) — growing SMEs, the most popular plan
- Premium: US$37.50/month (then US$75) — established businesses, multi-currency, KPIs
At the current exchange rate, the Standard plan under the promo costs roughly RM110–120 per month — which makes it cheaper than a part-time bookkeeper, but only if someone actually keeps the books. That is the part the pricing page does not solve.
What the Pricing Page Doesn't Tell You
- Bank feeds: included on Starter and above, but direct feeds to some Malaysian banks require third-party connectors with their own fees.
- Add-ons: payroll (from US$4/month), projects (from US$7/month), Hubdoc receipt capture, and multi-currency on Premium only.
- The renewal cliff: the 50% promo expires after 36 months — budget for the standard rate from month 37.
